The Preferences of Shared Micro-Mobility Users in Urban Areas

This research focuses on the preferences of micro-mobility users in urban areas, specifically shared electric bikes (e-bikes), conventional (bike), and scooters (e-scooters). It is found that previous scholars study traveler traditional transport modes while limited attention has been given to travelers toward considering over bikes. In order address this gap, a discrete choice modeling approach used people through developing model. A experiment (DCE) designed where sets combine micro three associated attributes four levels are included DCE for each alternative. stated preference (SP) survey distributed Budapest, Hungary. areas travel time relatively short. Multinomial Logit (MNL) model applied developed. The effect several factors evaluated. developed includes trip time, cost, walking distance, parking characteristics, socio-demographic factors. results indicate prefer using more than e-bikes e-scooters. Furthermore, it e-scooter least favored by travelers. noteworthy car drivers, individuals with access or frequent usage micro-mobility, graduate students, full-time workers, males, young willing use services. probability choosing mode based changes type attribute estimated research. show free floating when they underscores significance (docks dockless) variables comes areas. evident options require effort policy support be effectively implemented, as appear appealing users.
